I've never really understood why this is called Continental. Is it perhaps, because 'continental' magazines feature this kind of photography? Well not in my experience. Anyway, without putting too fine a point on it I guess we're talking about 'solo masturbation'; you guessed it - if you're willing to insert vibrators, dildos, even your fingers, in front of the camera, you're a model willing to do Continental.

So what it is about American Men's Magazines that differs to ours ? Well, truth is, these days, not a lot. Basically 'American' means poses that include 'parted labia', or 'held open' shots. You'll also hear this described as 'pink' shots. If you're still in any doubt, broadminded people who PROMISE not to get offended, may click the picture of Rebecca to get a better look, and remove the pink star.

I hate the phrase 'open leg shot', but I suppose it's as accurate as any other. If 'nude' is 'no-knickers, but so what', Men's Magazine is far less 'so-what' and much, much more 'look at what I've got !' Now, there's a LOT of work available in this category. If you're happy to do Men's Magazine modelling the world is basically your oyster. Or clam. Depending on how you look at it. BUT, nowadays most photosets within your traditional top-shelf magazine, eg. Razzle, Mayfair, Fiesta, Knave etc. actually include a lot of 'American' style photos.

Right, now, pay attention. A lot of girls who contact me seem to get very confused about the difference between nude and "Men's Magazine". Nude is, as the name suggests, no clothes ! However, sometimes it's called 'tasteful nude' or 'artistic nude' which I think is useful because it's very much, 'no-knickers, but so what'. Take for instance Francesca to the left; she's clearly naked, and if you look very hard (and trust me, some visitors to this site will do just that) there's definitely a little pubic hair down there. However, that's all you can see; just a little fluff. This is the sort of picture you might find in Playboy, maybe even FHM etc. but it's NOT to be confused with traditional top-shelf magazines. Would you believe.. topless ! Possibility the most famous consumer of topless photography is of course Page 3 (of the Sun newspaper). This example isn't really typically 'page 3'.. there's too much background and the pose is a little too mean and moody. Page 3 is usually BIG smiles, big boobs and big wide-brimmed sun-hats.

Online portfolios are currently only available for models who are permanently resident in the UK.
